About Action for Animals
Incorporated in 1980, Action for Animals, Inc. is an all volunteer non profit organization dedicated to helping the stray animals of Delaware County, Indiana. We take in the stray cats and dogs of the county, provide medical care, spay/neuter surgery, and placement into permanent homes. We implement a Catch, Alter, Release program to help control the unwanted feral / free roaming cat overpopulation in Delaware County. Also, we have our Spay Day program, providing $20 off a spay or neuter surgery to anyone in our county or in other areas that need financial assistance with the costs of altering their pets. We promote responsible pet ownership through our education efforts.
As a Rescue Bank Affiliate, we are now able to receive truly amazing donations of pet food for the animals in our community and can also enable many other rescue groups and shelters around Indiana to do the same thing. We are truly excited to see where this path leads and can only imagine the greatness we all can achieve by working together!
About Rescue Bank Pet Food Distribution Program
Rescue Bank SM is a non-profit organization committed to supporting the animal rescue and rehabilitation community with much-needed supplies and services.
Each year, millions of pounds of nutritious pet food is removed from circulation because it is nearing expiration, has been re-branded, or may have been packaged incorrectly. To prevent wasting this food, Rescue Bank SM arranges for collection and redistribution in truckload quantities to animal rescue and owner retention groups all across the country. Rescue Bank SM provides a reliable means for using excess product – benefiting both the manufacturers and non-profit groups.
The Rescue Bank SM Pet Food Distribution Program supports the pet rescue community with a network of regional affiliates distribution partner centers. These centers receive truckload donations scheduled by Rescue Bank SM and distribute pallet quantities to qualified recipients.
